Shallots
General Information
Shallots are an allium like garlic and onion. They have a flavor very much like regular onions. I use them when I want some onion flavor but don't need a whole onion - that way I don't have to store a partially cut onion. Try them for yourself and see if you can taste a difference.
Storage Information
Store in a cool, dry, dark spot for several months. If your house is too warm they can be stored in the refrigerator.
